E.A.
Garry (Libby) discovered she was an artist in her
early 30's when a friend suggest she take an introduction
to drawing class. It didn't take her long to discover
that she loved doing artwork. To increase her knowledge
she signed up for a two year commercial art school.
There she learned a lot of techniques and eventually
found herself doing desktop publishing. Somehow that
didn't quite satisfy her artistic muse. She took a
couple of painting classes at a local community college
and loved it.
Her
first passion is pen and ink drawings. Every year
she does a black and white calendar. She found this
a great method of keeping in practice since she has
to do twelve drawings year. Occasionally she found
a black and white image that begs to be done in color.
One can see the evolution of an idea as it transforms
through different mediums. Acrylics would be almost
equal to her love for pen and inks. She also dabbles
in watercolors and cut paper. Her images cover a wide
range of topics and subjects, oftentimes humorous
other times more serious.
She
is a member of City Lights Gallery and the current
Newsletter and past treasurer for the Vegas Artists
Guild. To see more of her works visit her website
